I know this is a very unpopular opinion for which I surely will get some shit but after seeing the show and her vids, I seriously question the general opinion of this place that Yaya was the unnecessary evil in cosplay or something. I really like her craftmanship and even if this damage control stuff came up, I understood her worry about her protegé who seemed a bit too young to find the right balance in sexy vs craftmanship. The video with JNig is surely meant to appease some angry JNig-neckbeards that fling even more of their junkfood-induced shit in Yayas general direction and therefore, I agree that it is mostly damage control and propaganda but it is an intelligent solution to end this huge shitfest.

Of course, a TV-show would overdramatize everything but not everyone watching the show is a cosplayer themselves who can tell A and B apart and some people don't get that different opinions on a topic not necessarily mean a fight between two people and that it is a difference whether a grown-up person choses to wear a skimpy outfit or a young girl is influenced in a way that can easily ruin her reputation andgive her a lot of unwanted attention.

Actually the show made me like Yaya much more than I did before, cause we see her expressing concern about being a worthy judge and about craftmanship and stuff.
