This is going to sound retarded and I apologize if this isn't the place to ask, I know I'm a real goober. I also recognize that the chances of my dumb ass finishing in time for halloween are basically zero, but there's no time like the present.

I want to make a helmet, but haven't ever worked with foams or whatever before. Am I supposed to buy a huge block and just chisel it like I'm fuckin michelangelo? That can't be right, can it?
