Will this work for my hair?

I have no idea what I am doing and it's for a cosplay expo this weekend.

My main questions:

Will my roots show by this weekend(Friday-Sunday) if I die it today?

This will work on blonde hair right? Do I need to bleach my hair first?

I am going to follow the instructions on the box but does anyone have anything tips besides the normal directions? I know there is sometimes a better way of doing things.
