Does anyone here know what the judges are like at MCM for skit performances?

I'm entering the performance side with a short skit at Manchester this year and I SERIOUSLY hope there are no singing entries going in because literally EVERY TIME I have watched an MCM masquerade with a singing entry they win.
Regardless of if the singing was good or not. Which 95% of the time it isn't because it just sounds like shit karaoke because of the acoustics/set up. Or if there were other, better entries that actually constructed a skit/choreographed their own dance etc.

It pisses me off because I think they think it takes more balls to go up on stage and dance. Skits are just as nerve wracking.

Okay I have a question that I really want answered.
Why the hell do people always stylise cosplaying x character genderbent as 'fem!x' or 'male!y' ??

Is there any need/reason for the '!'? It just sounds like they're over emphasising the first part and it sounds like shouting. Whats so difficult about just writing 'female x' or 'male y'?

Idk why but it gives off the distinct smell of Tumblr.
Pic unrelated.
