I'm pretty sure even Cinderella got better than "2-star" treatment when she was sent to the ball. I am sure her stage-coach was equivalent to today's first class ticket and at least she was allowed to keep the shoes.

Or I suppose they want a Cinderella who is weak and disenfranchised like at the beginning of the story.
