/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Hello, I'm doing Irabu from Kuchuu Buranko (the version on the right) and I was wondering what would exactly be the best to do the 'pants'. Buying some normal red pants and then putting a bunch of white dots on it probably won't work out well, so how should I really go about it ? This is my first cosplay as well, and I'm going about it a bit late so I'm truthfully a bit lost. Looking up cosplays online of Irabu doesn't help either since I really can't recognize what they're using to do the pants so well.
