I see! So you would say yumekawaii is surreal and dreamlike but with more innocent imagery, while yamikawaii is more edgy and deals with darker subject matter?
I often see yamikawaii in the west depicted like pic related, with the "yami" being interpreted both literally as dark / black color palette, and as dark subject matter. However it seems you're saying that yamikawaii actually tends to be pastel as well, and is actually what people in the west would call menhera fashion, right?
