/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Ok ladies, I've had my boyfriend for about three years now, we are very serious and share a lot on Japanese culture as far as interests goes, there is just one thing, he is either not into cosplay/egl or doesn't know anything about it. Has shown no interest in cons, and thinks lolita is too busy, didn't seem interested in the fashion at all. He does like some of the simpler dresses though... But i like floofy ones..

Am I fucked? Is there no way i can ease him into this kind of stuff? I would love to make him cos play outfits and go to tea parties in formal wear cons and stuff, or just get into egl in general because I'm kinda embarrassed about having and wearing clothes he doesn't like around him(it bothers me if he thinks my outfit is bad, I know its silly but i really like the feeling of looking cute around him and he likes how i dress up most of the time). I don't want to strain it either, do you think its better to move on from this because everything else is perfect so I could go without it in my life and all.
