Eh I live like 25 miles away from Dragoncon and I drive every day thursday-monday for the last 4 years.

I get a really close parking spot to the Marriott for like ~$20 all day. Yeah you might hit a pocket of traffic on the way in but it's not a big deal because you'll only be doing it once in the day. I always leave for home around ~2am so getting out isn't painful at all.

Taking the MARTA is miserable unless you have a simple costume or don't plan on needing a storage area like a car.
