Here's a better conundrum for ya; if my coin decreases from 80 dollars to 6 in the span of 3 years that's a 75%+ loss on my original investment, correct?

The only reason why this coin failed is because only smart people hold LINK. Normies are too retarded to comprehend it well enough to buy it.

After the new supply release roadmap, we need to decide on when to sell. Obviously, we're not selling now, right? For me, I think the second we hit $7 I'm out. Looking forward to hear from my fellow marines on this.

I honestly just think it's a cool token and that's why I buy it.

I like the logo, I like that the token is needed, I like that the best fud is the token isn't needed, I like that the fat man in charge wears the same clothing every day and probably never washes it.

I just like it and that's why I keep buying it.

There is no denying Chainlink is the most important piece of blockchain infrastructure today, aside from maybe ETH. There is no denying OGs are tired and just want the riches they deserve.

How do we use our collective autism to finally educate normaltons on why they should stop holding doggy doo doo coins and takemetothemoon mommy coins and buy LINK because it will be the best long term investment of their lives?

There are enough of us here with reasonable brains, skill sets, and Internet know-how. It should not be that hard if we can just somehow organize ourselves, yet we've never been able to do it.

Why?

>in b4 fudsisters sabotage this pretending to be OGs who still want to remain poor and keep LINK a secret

Nice try, fudsisters.

What incentive does the company have to do anything but maximize their own profit?
Given the amount of tokens they have, there is nothing inherent about the tokenomics that drive value to the token in the sense of price increases over time.
I wouldn't be surprised if suppressing the price with what is effectively unlimited supply on from their part is actually much closer to optimal in terms of revenue generation for them.
As a toy example, imagine demand for LINK at $6 was 100 per hour, and 1 per hour at $60. Point being it's just never been clear to me that there's anything in the model, either mechanistically or incentive wise, to really drive the token price up to where there's clear value in buying it now as a speculative investment.
I like 'Chainlink the service' and I think it's a valuable part of defi. But 'Chainlink the investment' has honestly never even remotely been able to grab my interest.
I really find it incredibly hard to imagine a scenario where excess ETH flows into to it to create this wild demand(especially without that demand being gobbled up by the supply controlled by the team) .
I would 100% love for them to start from scratch and redesign the tokenomics with value accrual in mind. I mean, why wouldn't I want to make money?
I'm not holding my breath though since what incentive do they have do create value for me, or anyone other than themselves?
I mean really that same statement applies to a lot of crypto projects, it's not a LINK specific thing. LINK just gets more attention since the service the company provides is actually useful, but the investment part has not really performed.

>3. Market makers use LINK as a signal that a dump is coming
Which is it?

Chainlink bros, we need to step in and save the whole DeFi space. Remember when Chainlink Labs announced that the locking period for stacking was 2 years? What did we do as a community? We stepped in and voiced our concerns. What happened as a result? The locking period was shortened to 9 months. Nine freaking months! How awesome was that?

OK, now, we need to talk about the elephant in the room. The whole pay up thing. Yeah, I know, it's time for Chainlink Labs to start making money. I agree totally, I mean I love LINK and I hold it. But, we need to think bigger here. The whole DeFi space is in danger. Projects small and big are suffering. Some can't even make things due.

I believe Chainlink Labs can go on for a few years without these payments. Or, maybe they can start charging new customers? I dunno I fear for the whole space and I'm kinda bummed. Let us fix this, we have the power!

Here's the truth which you all know deep inside

I don't even need to talk about whether LINK fundamentally is a god tier token, deciding if that's a fact or not is irrelevant.

The reason it has underperformed is simple:

Everything in the entire crypto market is insanely overvalued on speculative degenerative gambling hype. You have multi BILLION dollar market caps for things generating 0 revenue with in some cases less than 100 daily active users.

Does LINK DESERVE a $6.90 per token value? No, of course not. You might argue compared to the rest of the market it does. Let's just assume LINK is the BEST token in the market. Your argument is then that it deserves to be at Bitcoin's mcap or higher.

But that's ignoring the fact that Bitcoin too is just an insanely fucking overvaluated shitcoin with very little current fundamental usage.

The market is currently highly irrational, simple as. Tokens are not valued based on their fundamental value in any way whatsoever, the entirety of their valuations depend on some episode of mania inspired retail hype and a bunch of bag holders who refuse to fucking sell.

It's literally just a GME tier Reddit market, and unfortunately LINK has yet to make the cut. Maybe because it's too hard for people to understand, who knows.. certainly the narrative around "THE NEXT ETHEREUM" is easier for retards to grasp.

Anyway, that's all. Carry on.
