I don't particularly like having it just doing nothing. I want to keep around $1000 just for liquid funds in emergency.

What should I buy? Considering the economy now i'm not sure if i should just keep holding cash or if i should buy some Linkies, I already have 12K link since years ago convinced i would never buy above $1 but i guess you can never get enough.

Alternative was simply buying the DOW or a leveraged Oil or Gold ETF. I suppose BTC itself too, but Link always seems like a better idea if it's crypto.
