Ive just recently started putting a significant amount of my income into vanguard indexes for the ‘low risk’ and ‘7% average annually’ memes.

Reading through this thread and other research, I’m starting to think this is a bad idea and should at least lower the amount I’m putting in at the moment. I can’t help but think this whole thing is due a correction, especially because of how saturated and how much of the market is owned by these funds

Cash is king in these scenarios right? I have no fucking doubt that even a 50+% correction across the whole market would be quickly turned over in 5,10,15 years or so, is keeping cash available for these dips a wise move? Or should I stay away from these index funds altogether and pursue other low risk, decade spanning investments?
