If you're thinking about getting 300K into fiat, then I would suggest:
>maintain a low profile
>think about not quitting your job just yet
>buy 7 to 10 dividend stocks like AT&T (8%) so you can live comfy. Maybe a few RIETs in the future, but commercial real estate is weird right now
>maybe move into one of those gated communities
I would try and make your money work for you long term fren. And 8% returns every year from dividends alone off of 300K, split between like 7 or 10 dividend stocks would provide for you very well in Mexico.
It would average out to be $15,000 a year if your total average ROI every year was 5% dividends. If you find safe and comfy dividend stocks that you like, then that means over the next two years this can pay off massively because you can put all your dividend gains into more crypto.
Again, I don't know how much you want to move into fiat, but 300K put into blue chip dividend stocks sounds tempting to me since you're in Mexico with their lower cost of living. The extra $15k a year plus your family's income now could do you very well. Especially if you invest even more between ETH, BTC, LINK, small crypto projects, medium cap stocks, and maybe real estate in Mexico down the line if you're comfortable with it.

I could genuinely build the cabin and buy the land for sub $50k. Meanwhile, the condo would be $100k and I'd be sharing walls with someone else. The only problem with the cabin idea is that it might be hard to find cheap land that is close enough to get running water and electricity. I'm not gonna do any of that caveman shit where I don't have modern conveniences. I currently live in NC, and good land doesn't seem to be too expensive, but the expenses add up when you have to develop the land from the ground up such as making a well.
