I feel you noob anon. I've been here since 2017 and I got a massive hit of anxiety yesterday accessing my ledger nano S. I couldn't access my accounts on ledger live and had to update all my firmware and wallets. Then randomly the ledger nano reset itself because of a conflict with Windows 10 so I had to enter my 24 words in again to reconfigure it. Very stressful because there's at least 300k on this one. This is why i have 2 other ledger nano's with the same access to my wallet in another safe location. As bad as it sounds this is still, by far, the safest and most reliable wallet out there and I own a Trezor and few other Nano X's and S's.
