everything is built to be as simple as can be for the consumer.
all "expert" settings have been removed.
user customized settings tend to sometimes break things so it's easier to just remove it. everything is done in the background where you can't see what is happening. so you can't explore. make mistakes. learn from those mistakes.
and once everything is perfectly automated, you are now in a very perfect bubble. you now can live happily ever after with the things that you already know that you do like, never having to experience new problems/joys.

auto-correct has helped me out not look completely retarded when typing. If there is a squiggly red line under a word, I just right click and click on the closet matched word...and now we have auto-correct software that just automatically corrects the word without any interaction. now i never have to learn from my mistakes. now if only they made software that can correct my poor grammar.

I really like this post because it sums up a lot of issues and paints a very detailed picture of why the traditional economy is going to collapse. Boomers worked too hard. There was a great Time article on this (and I don't say that often), the boomers were born in an economic golden age so their first steps in life made them huge gains, and then things got tough.
