9903075 No.9903075 [Reply] [Original]

I've been in this market for over 8 months now and I haven't made a fucking penny. A PENNY. I "bought the dip" all the way fom 12k to fucking 7k. I spent the last three grand from my checking account at 7.2k.

This crash has been hurting my self esteem, I hardly want to get out of bed in the morning, knowing its another day of being down in the fucking boondock dumps. I've become irritable and cynical, I'm snapping at people at work. I'm getting weird looks. I have no motivation to shower or shave my neckbeard. It's getting rough, food doesn't taste good to me anymore. Vidya doesnt hold my attention for more than 5 minutes. The stress is wrecking havoc on me. Going to the gym seems pointless. I have no money to buy new clothes, I'm wearing the same shit for years. My relationships with my family and friends is in the shit, I just spend my days locked in my dark damp room.

Life was better before I got into crypto. I was happier, cynical for the political world but at least I wasn't stressed. Then I stumbled on /biz/ and fell for all the memes, and I got fucked over big time. everything is grey now

I'm here to motivate you. Ready?
There's a saying: if you do what other people are doing you will have what other people are having.
Now think about all the retards and morons that bought high in december and sold low. You too bought semi-high, but at least you had the presence of mind to dollar-cost average down. You did better than 99.9% of the people.
Now think about another thing people are doing: selling when things get hard. Do you have any idea how many people got shaken out by whales and lost their chance of becoming millionaires? Whatever you do, do not get shaken out. This is your final test. If you manage to not get shaken out, you will be rewarded (assuming you didn't buy complete shitcoins).

and not everyone made it, only the most hardcore motherfuckers survived and thrived in this, same is here happening.
many many more people like the OP will get burned, they will always buy high and sell low, they will always pick the worst possible entry into the market, they will always self sabotage themselves and waste their Lifetime chasing promising bets, its gambling what they do, similar to a guy randomly digging for gold in the desert while everyone with a brain knew where he had to look.
his life will spiral out of control, depression engulfed him and he can't think with reason, its only a matter of time until he gives up, how many more lows can he endure? how much more money can he invest? how much more can he bear staring at the red dildo punching through the paperthin resistance at 3k, imagine the absolute worst scenario that BTC goes back to 1k, can he endure it? when he buys the dip and it dips some more towards 950, will he finally sell?
Its easy to tell from his whining that he is already finished, 8 months and he burned out.

That is an excellent analogy, and you should learn from it. Only two kinds of people made money from the gold rush: the people who got in at the very beginning, and the ones selling you the tools. (Well, and prostitutes too if you want to talk about the "service" industry that sprang up).

Having worked for a top 100 publicly traded company, I can tell you that neither do stocks. Everything is manipulated to ensure the board is pleased and shareholders are satisfied. Whether or not the company actually achieved the required 40% in a certain metric didn't actually matter. 40% was put in the books. Everyone in management knew that this was the understanding. This is true for every publicly traded company I have worked for.

Crypto has the same inherent value as company stock, they are just far more volatile due to the relatively small amount of participants in the market.

Here's a tip. Never sell at a loss, ever, no matter what, even if you're 60% down. Don't by anything with less than $10 million volume even something that is "really good". Make sure it is absolutely safe, get a good bot like cryptohopper and setup triggers to turn on/off based on the state of BTC, use good singals and config and never let it sell at a loss. -60% sounds horrendous but in such a volatile market it's not even that bad as long as it isn't complete shit.
