i lived in north queensland and it was paradise on earth for most of the early 21st century then mining boom died, unemployment skyrocketed, nanny state blew up, wages stagnated etc. moved south to sydney and it was multiculti hell. the country is selling their soul to china and its turning more and more in to what you can imagine a shithole city in china is like. rent is skyrocketing and house ownership is a meme and people are fucking assholes because all those easy going aussies you see on tv ads have been replaced by lebs on steroids.

I spent 4 months in SE asia last year its cheap as fuck, nice beaches, lots of young backpackers/tourists and very little crime (no nig nogs). try thailand, bali, vietnam, etc
