How to start and how to stay committed? I tried and finished a few beginner course on codeacademy.
The most professional was Python and it was really interesting at first but then I stop doing it because I don't know what should be the next step.
Realistically what's the path of self taught programmer? I guess I should be more creative and think about problems that I can solve with my code.

Well, do what neets do and get on neetbux. It's what I'm goint to do, or attempt to do. Even my mom said I should get on SSI which I looked into 3-6 years ago.
The only thing which might fuck me over is that i've worked before. But I only got those jobs thanks to my parents or my parents friends recommended/helped me get them.

This, once you turn 30 without work experience you can't even become a wagecuck.

At least your father didn't kick you out, mine did after I failed my first year in college. I have been living with my grandma ever since and they don't really care since i'm cheaper than paying for someone to actually take care of her, however I'm afraid to think what will happen to me when she finally kicks the bucket.

>>9894723

Anons, don't give up. I was in the same boat at 32 after being a self taught programmer. Nobody would hire me for years. Worked every wagecuck job for years. There were times I was applying to 20+ jobs a day for weeks and other times I just gave up. Eventually, I got my foot in the door and learned that there isn't anything I don't know or can't bullshit my way through. Half of workers in tech are completely incompetent and can't do shit.

Keep trying, take shit job that pays nothing but appears like you worked in technology. In a few years you'll be working from home with 6 figure salary browsing biz.

Until you realize that we are those useless incompetant retards and not everyone is as highly skilled as you where you can bullshit your way to anywhere

I am not any good Anon. It's just that everyone else in tech is absolutely dogshit and faking it. This is why we have crap software and so many hacks.

And you don't even have to be technical to get a job in tech. You can be a business analyst, program manager, QA tester, etc. Just learn to fiddle with spreadsheets and bullshit your way through learning the lingo of those roles sounding like you know wtf you're talking about.

Anything beats fastfood or retail wagecucking. You're still wagecucking but 6 figures and sitting at a desk or home browsing shit sites beats isn't that bad.

what works for me:
jumping around in between different beginner/intermediate courses...
when i don't feel like studying the "boring" stuff, i just get into a pygame tutorial or look up how to do cool GUI stuff by copy-pasting code around and fiddling with values...

this one is hella fun, even a bloody beginner can work with it, as you can type off the examples and get line by line explained right after...
