Btw, they are going to up the number to 30% with the introduction of supernodes.

They make the network more resilient against attacks, this "shitcoin" actually haa better privacy design to scale to compete with king monero. I'm not worried about prices today, zen is nailing the privacy stack for a future that will demand it.

S, please dump I want to buy 500 at the bottom. If they capitulate to Jihan and stick with his asics this will have a bright future

the 51% attacker could only withdraw 2 or 4 btc at max from binance. Even if he had a verified account, binance froze his account and market bought all the zen he sold, you can see the pump to 400k right after the dump to 350k. ZenCash is the best long-term project in the privacy platform space and will outperform coins like dash, zcash and monero.

lmao. You have a blockchain that is not secure and giving away 30% of the mining reward makes it even less secure.
Also, look at their official statement: a total of over 23k ZEN has been double spent. Nice coping, faggot. Btw, your claims are totally baseless.
The ZEN nodes are a meme. DAG is a meme. And zk-starks is not being researched by Zencash, so they're going to piggyback off of Zcash and actual researchers, again. How nice that everything is open source, well except for Zencash's securenodes.

And no, nobody needs Zencash. You have interoperability chains that can provide optional privacy. Nobody needs another Zclassic fork for that.

>lmao. You have a blockchain that is not secure and giving away 30% of the mining reward makes it even less secure.
lol this is concerning. if they fork away from equihash the hashrate will be even lower, just a few neckbeard cucks with gpus mining at a loss. they need to go full retard and make 100% of block reward go to the meme nodes, or stick with equihash and let jihan own their network.

>> No.9747020

It was already mentioned in one of the Medium article by on of the Siacoin developers that there's a high chance there's already ASICs mining Equihash just like there was for Cryptonight for XMR.

I didn't buy on the Binance pump but I'm still at slight loss atm, it will probably continue to bleed more though...
Now I'm not sure if the fork will bring more hype/investors due to higher node ROI or that'll also be another bust.

The embarrassing thing is how easy/cheap it was to perform this attack, hopefully they sort this shit out because I actually like the project.

>> No.9748493

I don't see how they could fix this. The price would have to go up a lot to make it more resistant. But it's going to hard with the recent attack amd the 30% node/dev reward.
Proof of stake?

>> No.9748578

>>9748493
>>9748480

There's still the DAG research, DAO and the Governance model (by IOHK) which should attract attention. The way ZenCash will handle this will be important, long term I definitely have hopes and I'll slowly accumulate my nodes again. But I am pretty sure this event will set us back some months. Fundamentally nothing has (yet) changed about ZEN tho.

the attacks and market have spoken and the choice is simple, if you want a PoW coin you have to play ball with Jihan Wu.

I only own 1 zen secure node but if they go full proof of stake I might buy a supernode at the bottom. in my view its like dash but without the scammy reputation, minus dash's marketing/adoption which can be overcome

I would buy this meme if they went pos, because that would reduce the total supply to less than 5 million instead of 21 million.
