to keep with your bridge analogy the current approach to AI is trying to build a bridge with liquid water. you can throw as much water at the problem and you won't end up with a solid bridge. you have to accept the fact that it can only be realised through solid matter and a clever trick would be to change the state of aggregation of the water so it becomes a quite usable solid bridge.

in the end all i did was show the problems in the current approach so we can start thinking about solutions while you resort to name calling and delivering zero arguments. which by the way is a perfect illustration of the human state right now.

Irrelevant honestly. Most of the problems that AI can solve wont require something that matches 1 to 1 a human brain.

Whats fascinating most about the topic is how humans cope like nocoiners who sank all of their mental value into an ancient book rather than focusing on the fragile ecosystem we currently reside.

One of the first mistakes most of you dumb fuckers make is assuming that C3PO from star wars is the bare minimum before the singularity will become an issue.

I completely agree. However, keep in mind that these autists often have political leanings. This is actually a political uprising as well. I think a lot of people may not even realize what the politics of technology will be.

You have the centralized technocracy vs the decentralized technocracy. Everyone focuses on the centralized technocracy though and its usually very grim dystopian stuff.

Decentralized technocracy is probably a lot more interesting though but its also a lot fucking harder to understand. Basically cypher punks in some kind of weird ass peer to peer world where nobody controls anything but everything is still organized.

Well anyway, I completely agree, nobody really pays attention to the end goal or what the ideology of it all entails. We just get autists to build cool shit then freak out when men and women don't want have babies anymore. HAHA its fucked up!

In my opinion the best things to do is IS no bullshit understand that technology is an ideology and you need to think of it as one. So if someone says they want to replace workers with a machine they they are probably technocrats. Then just situate yourself with a solid understanding of cryptography and long on things that hold value when someone can generate movies at the press of a button.

With blockchain a lot of it is open source and anyone can learn from it. You can argue its a speculative bubble but there are some very innovative projects that have potential to succeed. I might be thinking about this with a poor overall perspective. But seems to very much mirror libertarians vs communists / socialists.

It straight up reminds me of people who want central planning vs people who want autonomy. But nobody really thinks about their cell phone or facebook as a socialists tool. Its kind of weird. But when you break it down that's how it really plays out.

A peer to peer cell phone would be fucking amazing. There is no libertarian equivalent of that skew of technology probably just because nobody thinks of it that way. Mostly because I don't think most people even think about technology as an ideology in that sense.

You have your libertarians who love Bitcoin but not many of them realizes that Bitcoin is perpetuating libertarians in a technocracy. They think of it as they are libertarians adopting bitcoin and not the other way around. It is literally your ideologies in a technological form.

> One thing i notice is that a central technology like AI is speciaized and closed off to the public, and only if you are funded by a large company, university, or government you won’t know much about it or of its applications. With blockchain a lot of it is open source and anyone can learn from it.

This is a huge problem. Now keep in mind that google has released tensorflow in an open source format. But ultimately right now all of the really good shit is not available to open source environment.

Open source is right leaning and is definitely part of the decentralized technocracy. It also tends to be fall behind in terms of progress as well. Linux vs windows all over again. Big centralized entities can push advancement much farther because they have the resources to to provide incentives.

So the cycle will likely be that corporations will push us toward a centralized technocracy. Central planning. and no autonomy of the individual.

Fucking hell that's black pilled. Most terrorists are 80 IQ morons who just want some virgins to fuck thankfully.

But ultimately decentralized technology and encryption would make literally all kinds of central planning to be impossible. Taxes may not even be possible at that point.
