it won't. all it was used for back then was buying drugs on silk road so when gox imploded the news stopped for 2 years, nobody talked about cryptos, not even /biz/ (which was created to be the crypto containment board).

now bitcoin is bleeding out due to roadmap missteps caused by the BTC/BCH civil war, and smart contract platforms are leading the market. real crypto futures now exist securing them a place as commodities, CNBC and bloomberg and other mainstream media report on cryptos regularly, and the SEC and CFTC and creating new regulation and cleaning up any existing manipulation. it's literally impossible for cryptos to slip into nothing again at this point.
