you're retarded if you don't make as much of a stink as possible
this is not 2015 and they're not some shitcoin russian exchange, we're in 2018 and they're owned by circle pay which is owned by goldman sachs, the people involved are public figures with offices on US soil, and the GDPR (data protection law) passed literally 3 days ago in EU, making a poloniex refusal to let you withdraw your funds and delete your personal data literally illegal (although it won't stop them from stalling)
don't be a cuck passively waiting for things to improve, if that 80% is more than 10k you should be writing emails to whichever consumer protection agencies apply in your area, filling up fraud report forms and consider your legal recourse

>> No.9647061

I believe that Shitcoin exchanges like yobit tradesatoshi or Tradeogre are more legit than polo

Mandatory kyc or locked up funds.

>> No.9647089

why is everyone freaking out about KYC? Canadian and no probs with polo.

>> No.9647118

So if some pajeet register an exchange on the Cayman Islands and don't use kyc because bitcoin it's not legally recognized as a currency and no AML needed, then that will be the future?

does binance implement KYC?

>> No.9647519

this is good for polo, getting rid off all the scum that don't know how important KYC is.

Late last year they told that they would soon be requiring KYC verification info from all accounts that have not provided it yet (older legacy accounts), told that at a later date (~Q1) they would give a deadline prior to implementing this, and that accounts that didn't comply by deadline would still be able to withdraw their funds but not do trades past that deadline.

No deadline was given and all account that haven't been verified yet were just frozen including withdrawals with no notice. Only thing you can do right now is send them your dick pic and SSN to start the verification process (takes anywhere from few minutes to multiple months to complete based on your luck)

>On the date of the deadline, legacy accounts will be placed in a state where:
>Trading and lending will be disabled;
>Open orders will be closed;
>Loans will have auto-renew switched off;
>Margin positions will be given an 8 week wind-down period where they can only be diminished or closed. After the 8 week wind-down period, they will be closed;
>Deposit addresses will be revoked. Any deposits sent to a revoked address will not be recoverable until the account is fully verified;
>Withdrawals will remain enabled at the daily withdrawal limits prior to the deadline.
>>Withdrawals will remain enabled
Company first stating something as a fact in their litelar press release and then doing the opposite doesn't make them look all that trustworthy. Some level of trust is however an absolute requirement for centralized exchanges to function at all, and nuking that just nukes the exchanges whole business model. Or was that the whole plan all along for the new owners?

they made their markets too complex which caused a lot of system stability issues and long maintenance periods because the trading engine couldn't handle it, but they're one of the oldest exchanges and are for the most part trustworthy
