Dyslexia and programming

hello frens

i have a cousin that is 14 years old and totally in puberty and doesn't care about anything but gaming, like most of us did at that age.
In addition to that he struggling at school because he is dyslexic. As I have a good relationship with him and he sees me as a kind of role model, I want to help him do something with his life. As he's into gaming i thought it can't hurt to get him started with programming. But there's the problem with his dyslexia.
Something like scratch could be a good start, as it's mostly graphic. If you have any tips how to get him started, if possible in a playful way, let me know, i appreciate it.

/g/ will probably help you more, they have more programmers and for sure some of them have dyslexia. They can share their experience with you.

memorising lots of code is hell if you're dyslexic.

Dunno about dyslexia but game programming is fun for sure. Maybe see if any games he plays can be modded
Find a good game programming community online where people show off their creations
Get him to install some game engines like unity or unreal

did that already, the problem is i'm grographically far from him for the next 7-8 months, so he kind of lost interest. Maybe the community thing and modding is what could get him hooked. Thanks for your advice
