I thought LINK was just a meme but I've been researching it lately and I'm scared that it actually might be something with massive potential. The tech is going to be required for smart contracts to go mainstream. Should I seriously buy some? I have 40 ETH spare I could put in today. Arguments for and against?

Link is a long term hold but if they achieve what is in the whitepaper, it will solve the biggest problem in the smart contracts adoption. Also the LINK token will be designes to be staked as an escrow for insurance against bad oracle. So most of the LINK will be out of circulation after mainnet. You do the math how much will 1 LINK be when corporates and enterprises start using it.
