Thoughts on this coin? Is it worth buying and holding?

>> No.9490900

Yes, it is basically ethereum but
You can do private computing without exposing your data, seems like something buisnesses would use, also fixes the scalibility issue and is blockchain agnostic

thought i liked this coin
But in reality it's shit
Consensus was its only hope
It gets pumped like twice a year....
No one really pays it much mention desu, hold a shit stack of 100 if you want but this is NOT an all in coin

>> No.9490907

Eh, I own like 1k as insurance encase it moons but I'm not worried about that until like 2019. But I really like the idea and the team seems very competent.

I can't trust a project which the team hold 50% of total supply. I pass.

This isn't a P&D scam brainlet, ENG is a long term hold that will see steady gains throughout the next years. Check their roadmap, this isn't something that's trying to pump to 100 in like a day then dump to 0.

>> No.9490941

Right now it's in a dip, so not too bad of an entry point imho.

For me, this is one of the best 10 projects in crypto. Quite technical and ambitious, but a much needed layer for MOST projects who want to do anything on the blockchain.

Bonus points for Alex Pentland as an advisor, one of the most cited, most intelligent academia members in his field. ENG might fail due to testing out an ambitious take on security/privacy, but if it doesn't...it'll be everywhere.

t. 3k ENG holder

1k costs a lot of money though. I cannot afford that many. Would you recommend me to buy now or wait?

The absolute state of biz brainlets.

If you're into ENG for the pump n dump you're doing it wrong. Stick to lowcap shitcoins and flip them, don't go for projects whose roadmap unravels in 2019.

>>9490944
You can go in with a few bucks just for the long term. But if you want to flip and score gains, ENG shouldn't be your priority. Trade your way up to a bigger stack.

Now's not a bad time, try and buy like 100 or something or whatever you can afford to buy just make it enough that you don't want to brain yourself if it moons to Venus ( but that won't be like until 2019-2020) this is their road-map to let you know what they have planned.

Jesus Christ, the pure retardation. Nothing in common. The RLC euphoria here is getting ridiculous.

That said, RLC is in my top 3 holds and it's also a project that is just respectable no matter how you put it.

Nice trips, hey you think 1k is enough to make it or should I try and up it to like 2k? I'm trying to diversify right now so I'm not really sure.

True, but ENG is a slow burn, you're just going to have to wait it out like everyone else to get the results you want. The team has delivered on every dead line so far and has even created multiple projects that use's the underling tech for the protocols that you can use right now, they haven't let me down yet.

>> No.9491122

>>9491021
Tbh I don't believe in ENG mooning to oblivion. I can totally see it at $40 or so in early 2020, but I'm fairly conservative in my expectations.

It depends on the masternode situation. I do believe that aside from the 10k rumor, we should have a smaller tier - possibly 5k and 2k, who knows. Got 3k just in case they're 3k - 5k - 10k.

In any case, 1k is good, but I'd look to trade my way up to 2k or so.

>>9491034
Fair point anon, but ENG is the definition of long-term roadmap. Most of the 'long holds' people mention got a shitload happening to them in Q3/4 2018 and Q1/2 2019. ENG is focusing on 2020 (!) for fuck's sake.

>> No.9491165

>>9491122
If it's hits $40 that would be great, I'm not like anons talks about $250 kek. Shit if we hit $100 i'd have a 7 Billion market-cap for gods sake! If the memes about a 20 trillion crypto market come true then maybe but I doubt it honestly.

I am not smart enough to understand things myself so I would like others to tell me if this is a big deal or not. These connections are part of what got me interested in Enigma.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Pentland
Sandy Pentland is an MIT computer scientist and professor. He was named one of the world's seven most powerful data scientists. This guy is an advisor who helped create Enigma and is listed on the whitepaper.
https://enigma.co/enigma_full.pdf

Here he is in 2015 talking about Enigma at 22:17.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TGfZ55dOb4

https://siliconangle.com/blog/2015/07/22/alex-sandy-pentland-on-enigma-using-the-bitcoin-blockchain-to-compute-with-secure-data-mitcdoiq/

And again in 2018:
https://www.reddit.com/r/enigmacatalyst/comments/7vx7ep/professor_alex_sandy_pentland_director_at_the_mit/

Then there is this guy:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_M._Church
George Church is a Harvard and MIT geneticist, molecular engineer, and chemist. He recently started a blockchain genomics platform.
https://www.fiercebiotech.com/biotech/george-church-founds-cryptocurrency-fueled-genomics-firm
You can see in their whitepaper that they've partnered with Enigma:
https://www.nebulagenomics.io/assets/documents/NEBULA_whitepaper_v4.52.pdf

I also found this talk from 2015 where they discussed the Enigma whitepaper.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4K_Rn8QWGo
The speaker seemed to be quite interested to me and thought it had a lot of potential. I could not find a wikipedia page for him like the other 2 guys but he does have a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics.

Like I said, I am not smart enough to analyze coins myself, so I rely on other opinions and try to see what smarter people think. When I found out about these connections and saw that ENG was barely in the top 100 coins I was very interested, considering that so many other coins above it are pure shit. Am I right that these are very good signs and ENG could be huge, or am I overstating this?

The pros :
- You can put it on any blockchain.
The cons :
- Use specific trusted hardware
- 2nd Layer solution, the blockchain is public but encrypted

The day when you crack enigma it's done you could read the entire blokchain. Imagine a scandal worst than PanamaPaper if sensitive information are on it.
