It's a simple 2-tier system.
You have one account on a registered exchange that does bitcoin and few other pairs with working fiat gateways to and from (I use Kraken).

You send your btc there to sell for cash when you actually want to cash out, or if you are just trying to trade the market and want to rebuy lower

You then have accounts on second-tier exchanges that have tons of alt pairs but no USD support. Send your BTC there to speculate, take profits, and withdraw to your hardware wallet or send to first tier exchange to sell for cash.

Ive been in crypto since 2013 and have never once owned a single tether nor do I have any desire to do so in the future. BTC is my tether. The shitcoin game is all about increasing your BTC stack
