dont know about marx, but todays marxists, in my opinion, wouldnt.

crypto empowers the individual by allowing it to hide wealth very effectively. it also empowers the individual to trade on black markets even more effectively. do you see where im going?

the whole "ceasing the means of production" just means that those means of production change owners, in this case, to the "working class" (which is a concept that defies logic, as banking and trading is work, isnt it?)

no form of collective governance wants to give up power. marxism in its current, rather statist form, does defnitely not put the individual above the collective, thus any trechnology that does so is bad, hmkay.

if i would, id exchange to bitcoin/gold/anything IMMEDIATELY, thereby i would devalue UBI.

if i had a business, i would charge bitcoin only (conversion rate UBI/bitcoin) so i dont run the risk of ever holding UBI

why? because its made out of thin air by a government that thinks "unconditional" is a thing

but lets further the argument.

how will you implement UBI worldwide? because, if you dont, you need to limit it to nation states. so, in germany now you get 1000 UBI a month. id immediately sell my marriage, for visa, to a family, charging whatever the current market rate is for a visa/residence

UBI is anti-establishment as it gets, you would realize that if you could tell organic shilling vs paid fudding.

UBI is FUDed to hell by many commercial interests because it would take a chunk out of subsidized food stamps and the companies that profit by being middlemen between the welfare state and welfare recipients.

If we have to have a societal safety net (which we actually do need to have btw) it's better to give people the choice of how they spend their safety net money and also cheaper.

UBI may help a lot of bums to continue being bums, but it will also help elevate some motivated individuals out of poverty. Not by giving them airdrop money but by allowing them to use the airdrop money to follow their dreams and all that shit.

UBI is a pretty good counter measure to AI unemployment and the increased divide between the ultra rich and the diminishing middle class.

Actually, the only better alternative to UBI would be to start taxing the multibillionaire "charity" foundations and putting that money back into circulation, but that shit ain't never gonna happen.

The global economy is in crisis. The exponential exhaustion of natural resources, declining productivity, slow growth, rising unemployment, and steep inequality, forces us to rethink our economic models. Where do we go from here? In this feature-length documentary, social and economic theorist Jeremy Rifkin lays out a road map to usher in a new economic system.

A Third Industrial Revolution is unfolding with the convergence of three pivotal technologies: an ultra-fast 5G communication internet, a renewable energy internet, and a driverless mobility internet, all connected to the Internet of Things embedded across society and the environment.

This 21st century smart digital infrastructure is giving rise to a radical new sharing economy that is transforming the way we manage, power and move economic life. But with climate change now ravaging the planet, it needs to happen fast. Change of this magnitude requires political will and a profound ideological shift.
