This coin is stagnant until Ontology & NEX have working main nets. Once they do, both of those will be backported into core via modules (NeoID and NeoX) and second generation NEO ICOs will start happening. Until then, though, NEO is just a fund-raising platform priced high enough to keep poorly funded scammers away.

I suspect that every core feature of NEO has been handed off to for-profit groups who will profit first then backport. The core NEO group is only working on transaction speed and centralization (not the smart economy). I expect to see an asset DApp and a file storage DApp that are funded by NEO council and maybe something about quantum resistance in a child project.

Make of it what you will. NEO will not see the profits from improved tech until DApps have had them first. This is ass backwards for a protocol and a slap in the face to NEO backers. But it's China, so what do you expect?
