Coming up on 3 months at my new jerb and my boss said we would discuss a raise then, when I was hired I think I low balled myself because when he said how much am I looking to make I said "I would be comfy at $20/hr and he pounced and said yes quick. How do I bring u a raise and how much should I ask for or should I be autistic and wait until the exact 3 month mark?

Get your friends to call your job and ask about you as if they were another job looking to hire you for higher pay. Boss might panic and offer you a higher pay.

Or it could backfire and make him think that you've been looking for other jobs, thus he starts looking for your replacement.

why would you say youre good with 20$/h?
i thought it was common tactic to ask for too much
either way Id wait for 3 months cause asking too early will leave a bad impression seeing as you said 20$ is fine
when youre discussing your raise ask if hes happy with your work, if yes thats probably the point to strike

I underestimated the work and responsibilities

20$/h is pretty good depending on where you live.

What's your line of work?
