Also try running Recuva in deep scan mode.

I did try the email thingy. But it was sent to my spam folder when I first got Exodus months ago. Gmail automatically deletes the spam folder after a while.

I'll try recuva

I know it's a bit late for this, but my top 2 most important tips for handling your own crypto:

1. Have your seed in at least 2 locations
So you are protected from house fires, etc. Just having a copy in your parents' house or something is enough to protect you.

2. Store it encrypted. I personally just used 7zip to AES encrypt it. This is so that if any thieves that know about crypto break into your house, you won't get instantly screwed unlike those who would have it written as plain seed words on a piece of paper.

---

I personally have my seed words encrypted on 3 USBs, stored at home, stored in my mom's house, and I have one attached to my keychain which I always carry with me.

If you're not careful enough to protect your coins from thieves and natural calamities, you might as well leave just it on Coinbase or Binance or something.

Anyway good luck anon, try some harddisk recovery services, there are ones that even specialize in recovering crypto.

The thing is.. I normally fucking do that. I just cant believe my stupid ass did this with Exodus. I needed to be shamed for it which is why I brought this here. I'm doing a deep search with Recuva now for my 12 word key but idek if it'll work.

Lesson learned.

Their customer service line isn't great. Better to visit their offices and talk to them in person.

Have you done data recovery stuff before? Got a malfunctioning hard drive in my laptop (clicking noise) with some coins that I mined on it, I tried booting from a USB and getting Recuva to scan it but it won't recognise the hard drive. I see it in device manager with the warning sign on it but can't seem to get a program to find it.
