So assholes and faggots are always talking about their “bags”... I’d like to know what actually makes up a “bag” in dollars....

Sometimes I have the feeling 30 yr old boomers will say they have a “bag” of some shitcoin like KIN that was only worth $200 but in KIN it’s like 5 million.... basically, what is the smallest dollar amount that actually justifies a “bag”

I want a dollar amount, not satoshi amount because I think people who talk about their “bags” never trade against satoshis to begin with...

If you have to ask they're too heavy for you.

Perhaps you are right... I have 300k Tron. Is that a “bag”?

A bag is any amount of any asset that you purchased that has lost value after you bought it. Since buying-high-selling-low is a no-no, you are left "carrying bags" until you are presented with an opportunity to sell your asset as a higher price.

0.1 btc = nut
1 btc = bag

idgaf about your usd values

I get that, but I think many people complain about their “bags” - as you would say, being in the red on an investment - but these “bags” are like $200 investments that are now worth $100... to me that shouldn’t constitute a “bag”

Any asset you buy with the intention of re selling for profit that actually depreciates negating you that profit is a bag.

In more specific biz terms I would say any investment that has fallen below ur entry point and the price movement is still below ur entry point.
Anything that you invest on that is in the back of your head making you feel like you’re losing money, you’re basically carrying that weight of the stress, you’re in fact carrying these bags.

This sounds reasonable but I guarantee you most of the pajeets on this board and elsewhere are NOT referring to 1BTC investments as bags

Well said, but I still think to talk about your bags implies Major investments. I get that that is relative based on net worth, but give me a fucking break... I had 132 BTCP before I sold that shit at a small loss... I never considered that a “bag”. Faggots on the BTCP telegram with 25 to 50 BTCP were screaming at Rhett to get on more exchanges because their “bags” were too heavy... I dunno whatever

Since we're being arbitrary about the constitution of bags, let it be known that bags, metaphorical or not, can come in a multitude of capacities, strengths, and use-cases. Being $100 in the red vs being $10,000 in the red are undeniably severe in contrast, but they are both bags to their respective holder, regardless of the perspective of other holders.

Holding the bag use to refer to not having any liquidity. You can't sell at all. Not nesseraly holding because you don't want sell for a loss. but I guess definitions can change.
