1) Speculation driven by other crypto projects and banks confirming they will use Chainlink.

2) Customers/Partners requiring LINK to actually run and stake nodes closer to mainnet and needing to buy them on the open market.

i work at a mid sized bank where we are involved with projects that could realistically benefit from chainlink. we're talking tens of millions of dollars that would be using oracles.
My boss took a look at it though and ran into too many nazi symbolism on his google searches.
