Are you faggots making money off this? I never bothered with steemit. Idk how the fuck to develop content though.

I don't want anyone to be able to say those cancerous worn out nigger-memes.
Its much nicer that hiroshimoot is enforcing jp memes - it's fostering new and different memes

Damn, Roger's got a huge dick on the left there - it's like Charlie Lee's, Samson Mow's, Adam Back's, and Greg Maxwell's combined plus 5 inches.

People misunderstand what a blockchain is for. What if I want to delete a message? What if it's a pm? There's no point in storing it in the chain.

>> No.9221871

>>9221779
This is the early days, they will probably next give options to users on whether they want all tweets on the blockchain, or if they just want to take a weeks worth of tweets, hash it, and then put the hash on the blockchain. I would assume that the hash method is the way things will go. That way you can ensure your social media site is censorship free, but users pay fewer fees.

i agree. storing everything on the blockchain is a stupid idea. also computing on the blockchain like ethereum does is even more unnecessary

then don't use the blockchain for those things.

sounds like you're the one misunderstanding what a blockchain is for...

Yeah, but since Ethereum came out everyone thinks of smart contracts the way Ethereum does it. The only thing that was ever meant to be put on chain is proof of execution. You can prove the execution of a program that processes petabytes of information in a few hundred bytes. Craig Wright has some great points on this, he's hard to listen too because he's awkward and a cunt, but he knows smart contracts.

the market will find a solution
no doubt no one can envision what uncensorable social networks will be like
it wont be twitter and facebook as we know it

He said you put the hashes on the blockchain you stupid fuck, not the images. When you hash an image that is 12GB with SHA-256 guess how big the hash is. 256 bytes. If you hash an image that is 12 Petabytes with SHA-256 guess how big the hash is. 256 bytes. Read his fucking post you dumbass.

>> No.9223667

>>9222878
And it would take about 4 billion images every ten minutes in order for a terabyte block to be required. Do you really think that happens? And then you don't have to hash every image on the image board, just hash every so often to prove there was no censorship.

why the hell doesnt any imageboard have crypto tipping?

>> No.9224322

>>9223727
I thought about doing this, it would require 2 posts per tip without everyone being a faggot tripfag with an address in the name, and would only work on boards with ids. One post from the tipper (congrats you have a tip, reply with an adress to claim) and another from the tippee (0x23smewjeqij). It would just shit up the boards.

not really, you could set a cookie and go by IP if only one cookie was ever assigned to that IP. posts that were tipped get a little flag, click on it to claim the tip (if 4chan detects that you were the poster).

threads don't last forever on 4chan and if nobody claims a tip when the thread 404s it would just go back to the tipper

this would be a solid solution to enable 99% of the tips to be delivered. only time it wouldn't work is for threads that last several days or if someone is not accepting cookies + changing IPs

>> No.9224473

>>9224448 tip15
example on how it could work. in the Options field i would enter something that lets 4chan know where those 15 bits should come from.
