order flow
this is where you can see actual supply/demand or support/resistance.
a lot of people were trying to exit their longs or to get into a short, but, much like a walmart black friday sale, too many people can't fit through a double-door. they get stuck and then start freaking out, like some stampede. easy pickings.

bid and ask 7.72 and 8.41 right now
could see an easy chance to grab twenty cents from 8.2 to 8.4. if 8.4 is broken, ride it the fuck to 9.

ugaz has a tighter spread right now with smaller bid ask at 5.86 and 5.96. using dgaz as context, i'd say 5.5 wouldn't be unlikely to see today.

this is just an initial forecast, so don't get comfy just yet.

why are you bearish on natural gas? i play 3x market funds, but not sector. and how do you use market data to tell support limits? i got interactive brokers but i don't bother with any data that isn't free.

>> No.919417

>not realizing you have to pay for good data

You can see where a range of support/resistance lies, which can suggest the volatility of the day. You can also see where they AREN'T. Combine this with stacks of participants at certain levels and the current supply/demand around the quote, I can better my forecast.

>> No.919624

>the correction is over

Because this market is long overdue for a crash because of fed funny money, and everyday seems like it could just DROP.

But it won't, because life fucking hates me, and will just tease me over and over with itty bitty 1-2% drops in between 4-5% bull runs.

>> No.919625

>fed funny money
This is why you're gonna keep losing money.
You're betting on a 1% chance.

>> No.919631

>>919625
>You're betting on a 1% chance
Do you really think this market can go up forever? This "correction" was fucking nothing. The DOW already skyrocketed 16000 to 17000 in a month. There is some dirty shit going down and you know it. The last 50 days of trading have been dominated by daily 1-2% swings in either direction, with a massive 3-4% daily swing every two weeks or so.

You sound exactly like those investors in 2000 & 2008. "It's just a correction, it'll keep going for another 10 years!" I will not fall for the same shit three times. This shit will end eventually. Just looking at the DOW chart, it's like a pattern repeating itself again. Yes, I shorted the dead cat bounce too early, I should have done this back in july. But past is past, and I will hold onto my shorts. We'll see who's losing money 3 months from now.

>> No.919636

So.... buy VIX when the market actually goes into a recession?
There's no reason to buy a lifevest and wear it around all the time on the chance you'll fall into the middle of the ocean. You put the damn thing on when you get in the boat.

>> No.919644

>>919636
>Just buy a stock when it's already gone up 200%
>Just buy puts after a company is filing bankruptcy

If you keep buying late into a trend, you'll never make serious money, or even lose money on a sudden trend-shift. Buying early is always a safer investment, even if requires a LOT of patience.

That being said, I probably should have gone with 1x inverse ETF shorts instead of TVIX. Still, I'm not going to throw $3000 down the drain because of some slight upturn. And TVIX can suddenly spike up again in 1-2 days, like August 24-25. I already have a limit order to sell 1200 @ $15 if it spikes suddenly.

Yes, I get that. I'm old enough to accept personal fuck ups. If I really have to, I can use it to write off as tax losses 10 years from now.

Still, I won't admit defeat until the end of this year at the very least. I am just disappointed it has gone south faster than expected. I'm by myself, so I'm not fucking over 2 kids and a wife over here with stupid gambles. So really, I don't feel that bad in the end.

Time will tell.
