What if we like... combined every single alt coin's function into bitcoin and ride BTC to 1 billion a coin

How do you account for coins whose main draw is being Proof of Stake or other methods of distribution that's not PoW?
How do you account for coins with algorithms different from BTC that they rely on for their functions?

How do you account for the fact that the only way of letting the coin be upgraded requires almost 100% of miners to be on board with it, the same miners that will never vote "Yes" to an update that cuts into thier profits?

>> No.9153451

that is what should have happened, but you normalfags sided with blockstream over when there was still time to make a change from the inside
then you let bitcoinXT die
when faced with innovation from ethereum, you embraced stubborn immobility
once fees became a problem, you went one step further and encouraged regression, falling further down from peer-to-peer cash to a "store of value" so speculative it has no such property
bcash is not a hostile takeover attempt, but a maggot crawling out of an already dead corpse, a testament of the failure of bitcoin governance
the story of bitcoin is a cautionary tale
you can't passively buy into a revolution

it really drives the point home how far into socialism and math illiteracy we've fallen seeing the amount of kids who unironically believe everyone getting the same % rewards the rich and punishes the poor
especially when the alternative is a scheme where the entry ticket is in the low hundreds + constant access to electricity and internet

Except....Bitcoin core killed any prospect of that, since they had 0 interest in innovation. Smart Contracts etc are the fucking future, as is an actually usable blockchain based cash. So.....now it's all about Ethereum and maybe Bch. Or maybe one of the Eth killers like ADA or Holo or something. But not Bitcoin, it's too late.

Guys, the point of brainstorming is to find ways to support the idea. Then after some time you can decide whether the idea is worth pursuing. If you can only bring out problems and no solutions, don't talk.

I heard BCH has people developing "construction blocks", which means you can add functions seamlessly to the coin.

That's what'll happen in the end. Oracles will be paid in bitcoin, distributed services will be paid in bitcoin, privacy will optional. With oracles you won't need a blockchain for dapps, so there'll be no need for ethereum/neo/eos etc.

Only competition to bitcoin is dags. Iota and nano. IF they suceed bitcoin will be replaced completely. Nano and Iota will have marketcaps of trillions.

Cryptokitties crash, one massive rollback, one attempted massive rollback and the biggest scam market in modern history.
Can't wait to see bcash "innovate" like this.
