I wanted to try tianeptine because I read that it was an anxiolytic and I’ve been experiencing quite a lot of anxiety lately. In reality, it seems to me to be more like a mood stabilizer. It makes me somewhat pessimistic but at the same time it clamps the range of my moods—while taking tianeptine sulfate, I no longer go from extremely ‘depressed’ or anxious to manic and happy. Instead, my baseline mood is maybe a bit lower, but the range is quite small, and if I maintain a positive mindset and do everything else right, it keeps me in that feel-good channel indefinitely. It’s not magic but it seems to help noticeably.

Here's a good stack for depressed guys:

200mg Testosterone Enanthate once a week
3IU Growth Hormone per day optional (expensive)
500 IU HCG twice a week
Aromatase Inhibitor if needed.

Most guys with depression these days are low testosterone onions boys. Doctors just hand out antidepressants because they are told to by their sales rep and to get you out of their office, without doing proper tests.

Low testosterone will make you depressed, anxious, tired with no motivation, basically a loser. It's pretty common these days. Get a blood test.

Has anyone else here taken Welbutrin before?

It was fucking magic for the first 6 months or so. After that, everything felt like it did before and I had zero motivation to do anything.

I quit cold turkey after about a year on it daily(300mg). Holy FUCK I've never felt worse in my life. Talking heart palpitations, sweating, fits of anxiety. It was insane. Two or three weeks of pure hell.

I think the withdrawals convinced me that I'd be better off finding a non-substance fix for my problems, but I haven't been able to find a permanent solution yet. I can't imagine that any drug doesn't eventually wear off.

Unless someone can tell me I'm wrong? Do antidepressants exist wear you don't slowly get back to where you were before?

Honestly the only way to know for sure is a blood test.

Tested in the morning around 9am.

You can get blood tests done privately so you don't have to ask a doctor. For example in the US there's https://www.privatemdlabs.com/

If the blood test shows low testosterone then it could be because of lifestyle factors. If you fix the lifestyle factors and still have low testosterone then will have to go to a doctor.

Lifestyle factors that cause low testosterone.

- not enough sleep, need a solid 8 hours for good testosterone levels, less sleep than this will lower test, 1 week of 4 hours a night will lower testosterone by around 50%. This has been shown in scientific studies
- get enough calories, a calorie deficit or low calories will lower testosterone significantly. For example natural bodybuilders who diet hard for a competition can develop clinical hypogonadism. This is also shown by scientific studies.
- being overweight or obese lowers testosterone levels significantly.
- poor diet low in vitamins, minerals and fat.
- lack of sunlight and exercise
- some medications such as opiates significantly lower testosterone
- etc

I was having memory problems, like someone would ask me "say one thing you did yesterday" and I'd realize that I had no memory of the day before. I'd meet the same person 15 times and introduce myself every time because I didn't remember it. It was insane.

I was diagnosed with Adjustment Disorder, which from what I gather is essentially just depression that was triggered by a stressful event(mine being the brutal divorce of my parents when I was a kid, and living in a broken home for 10 years). To be honest the Welbutrin probably helped me straighten out the behaviors that were causing my memory issues, ie never paying attention to everything because I was depressed and disinterested 24/7.

I wasn't "tricked" into taking the drugs. I had serious, real issues and they helped for a while. I would have had to be fucking retarded to turn down something that would help solve a huge problem.

I started on citalopram (Celexa) and escitalopram (Lexapro) they were what I needed at the time, went on and off of them several times over the course of 3-5 years. I would always find myself getting super pessimistic to the point of giving myself anxiety at times. Asked the doc if I could try something else. He suggested Effexor. It's norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor as well as inhibiting serotonin (SNRI). It wasn't a whole lot different to the previous drugs, but it seemed slightly more effective helping me with motivation and fatigue. Asked the doc again if I could change things up again and he suggested Wellbutrin. I haven't really noticed the stimulant effect of it, and I'm normally pretty aware of/sensitive to drug effects. The dosages are pretty straight forward. They won't start you on a full dosage and they'll possibly taper you off of another drug if they aren't interchangeable. I think Wellbutrin helps counter the laziness/fatigue I get from SSRI/SSNRI, so I opted to take a lower dose of Effexor than I had been and take Wellbutrin as the greater of the two. So far so good. The Effexor keeps my head from sliding into a cynical spiral and the Wellbutrin seems to help with motivation. Everyone is different though so communicate with your doctor and don't be afraid to ask to try another drug if you think there's a chance of better results. Good luck to you!

Glad the new meds are working for you anon. Just be careful when coming off of the Effexor. SNRIs are a bitch to come off of if you don't taper slowly. I took Cymbalta for three years and tapered off slowly, and was just fine. I began taking Effexor a few years later, stayed on for about a year, lost my doc and figured I'd cold turkey quit since I wasn't on a terribly high dose and felt I could do without the med. Took me two and a half excruciating weeks to begin feeling normal again after that, and another month to get to a consistent mental state after that.

>> No.9049494

>>9049366
From what I've read, you have to be careful if you take it consistently. You can't just stop suddenly or else your heart gets fucked up. I just take one 5-10mg pill on very rare occasion, which is fine.

It's main use is for people with high blood pressure, so it just lowers it. My jaw/neck/hands used to shake a lot when public speaking. Propranolol completely eliminates that. Only major side effect for me is fatigue after 3-4 hours

Don't go below 10%-12% body fat levels. Basically visible abs.

Don't stay on the diet for a prolong period of time. Take a week or two break where you eat normal calories after a month two of dieting before going back to the diet.

Or some people like to have one day a week where they can eat as much as they want of whatever food they want within reason. They call it a cheat day. This tricks the body into thinking it is not starving.
