find a very illiquid market/coin
with a high spread

the second any decent sized buys or sells come through the market swings wildly

it helps if the coin is listed on only a couple of exchanges, although I won't tell you which this is. it isn't too hard to figure out because kraken doesn't have an abundance of listings

the trick is that you have to stack your orders such that you don't swing the market too much. put in size and price your orders in line with what the market is doing so you essentially hide in the order book.

because you can't take big trades due to the illiquid market, you can't make big profits, but you can make big percentages on smaller orders and pocket a couple hundred dollars in a very short time frame on trades that are so low risk they might as well be risk free because you are just playing at the edges of the order book and jumping between market buys and sells that bigger players are taking

I have literally never spent a single penny in a casino or any other form of betting/gambling... but I have 80% of my savings in crypto. I guess the only reason I can say why is because it seems like one of those things that comes every 50-100 years or so that can set you up for life. Now we can transfer value directly from one person to another instantly for nearly free, one side of the world to the other, without the need for permission from a third party.
>While the Internet has created environments in which individuals and businesses can instantly share information on a global scale at minimal or no cost, the same cannot be said for payments
This is where blockchain comes in. I mean it doesn't take a genius to see this is the next layer of digitisation. Just like the internet was a huge step for transfer of information, and physical transport was a huge step for transfer of goods, blockchain is a huge step for transfer of value. And this is without even starting on smart contracts and dApps. Undoubtedly this market will be worth trillions, the implications are rather large.

Now buy my shitcoin :) to the mooooon!!!

On the other hand it threatens you with deprivation if you won't play ball.

I started thinking about this. It's weird. I live a quite frugal life and have reasonably good income (shit compared to 1st world standards but OK for the 2nd world). Talked with a buddy of mine who's in the same position and told him you should never invest more than you're willing to lose, and that I'm not that heavily invested. He said he "would never invest anything unreasonably big, something like 1000$".
>mfw my current fiat investment is 2000$
I think people just have different risk tolerance.
