Linux is a shit OS for retarded autists. Windows is made by professionals and has games. Linux has nothing, because it's a garbage platform. Fuck Linux, fuck Linus, and fuck you.

kek basing an entire OS off of if it plays video games or not.
Using your logic that means the vic-20 is still an awesome OS cuz it plays games or any other dead system that plays games. brb buying a zx spectrum since awesome OS = plays games

what a pathetic underage mindset to have about an OS

I am very confused and don't know what your incoherent ramblings mean.

Windows is not made by professionals, quite the opposite, you'll see their devs complaining about how their source works often.

Linux has everything. Do GPU passthrough and you can run Windows on linux with almost 0 overhead. Then you get the best of both worlds. I have both operating systems in my room on separate PCs. I do prefer Linux and use it on my main desktop.

Linus is a retard who was unable to make a functioning desktop OS, which is what Linux was always meant to be. Why the fuck would you take the words of such an unintelligent man seriously?

>> No.8934501

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux,
is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component
of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell
utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day,
without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU
which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are
not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a
part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system
that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run.
The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself;
it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is
normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system
is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux"
distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

I hold both in equal proportions. They are both interesting projects with very different approaches. It is impossible to say at this moment which one will win. I personally think both will survive (EOS for independent developers, ADA for business applications).

Also if you fall for or participate in this "team blue" vs "team red" shit you're subhuman scum.
