Hi /biz I want to ask people about security of online poker but literally everyone is a retard on the places I ask it

Question: does the server which deals the cards actually know which cards he deals? Or are casino's so smart to create decentralized dealing so only the players know what cards they have?

If server knows then anyone who has access to this server can simply JUST everyone in the game since they know everyone's cards.

I’ve played on many sites and think it is a site by site basis.

I know most sites have bits which play with, at least the knowledge of all probabilities for hands...and at worst, complete knowledge of your cards and possibly cards to come...

Cards to come can easily be prevented, the main point is about the server knowing all cards which have been dealt.

Why is this not a huge issue for players which bet shitloads of money? Do they not care that the server knows all and the people they pay their fees for can actually see this?

They're all scams. You have to be an idiot to think otherwise. There's a reason these sites are run off shores so the American government can't go after them. Btw, gambling is a degenerate disease

I was wondering if more fish play for crypto over fiat. I used to play online 10 years ago when everybody was dead money. Now everybody has HUDs and actually have deep knowledge of the game. A little more of a grind. Thinking I could find more casual noobs playing for fun in crypto card rooms because to them it's not real money. Idk though. Sharks could be after crypto gains for all I know. Any thoughts?

Dude I’m dying for some ETH poker, how can I help you get this running

Well I think that much more fish will play. I'm creating a poker game on ETH now and users can simply send ETH to contract and then play. So I expect lots of users to simply play a few games and then quit. But there are also people who have an insane amount of ETH and just buy things like fucking CryptoCountries (japan selling for what now - 800 eth!?)

Anyways, if you want to keep updated (I don't over shit scams like ICO) - https://ethopolis.io

I plan to release poker in about a week (atleast on some testnet) and not even joking there, these shit ICOs should work faster.

Also check the site https://ethopolis.io, I wrote a pdf on how I want to implement ETH poker.

it is true and it has happened. Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet had insiders scamming players, they could see all the hole cards. google it.

Yes I'm aware of this, thanks. But has this issue been solved yet? This could still happen, correct, since server is basically a "super user" himself. Even if they let no one be a "super user" then server still is and therefore everyone with access can pull of the same """trick""".
