why do you assume a drop below your lower meme line? That doesn't follow. All i'm seeing on this piece of the chart is a tightening trading range that will lead to a break up or down, but only reason to choose down in this case is assumption that trend will remain bearish.

symmetrical triangle usually breaks towards the same direction as prior to the triangle. Thats why some break up and some break down, but you can still reliably call which way its going to break

the upper and lower red lines need to be of the same length. Within the same length, the upper makes 1 touch while the lower makes 3... this easily invalidates his red triangle.
