Daily reminder that irrespective of how much scammers supress the price, the fundamentals are 4 basic universal physical laws:

1) The Bitcoin supply is limited.
2) Demand for a decentralized, uncensorable store of value is a global an permanent one, and an increasing one, as all tax havens disappear.
3) Altcoins are memes and pose no competition for Bitcoin. No altcoin can deliver Bitcoin's blockchain certainty, that is, uptime (unless you have a time machine and release your altcoin before Bitcoin is released, that is), and certainty is the #1 thing people with enough money to matter look at before parking their wealth long term on an asset.
4) Fiat, the bond market, derivatives... everything but Bitcoin is a clusterfuck come the next decade.

The result is that on a long enough timeline, the price can only go up.

If there are smart fiatola whales, they are supressing the price to get in cheaper, since they cannot kill Bitcoin, only become as big as possible of a player in it.

If the increase is as large as you say buying $100 now would still be a stupid amount later right? I'm tempted to buy just a little bit, maybe even in a stock form so I don't have to manage a wallet.

I don't give a shit about bitcoin, I think the slow rate of transaction, the systematic need to have "good servers" versus "bad servers" and power consumption make it even more undesirable. If there's a way to exploit something people will.

That all said, I'd gamble $100. Not much more than that but if I was kind of drunk that'd be as high as I go.

You don't understand Bitcoin, you will panic sell and probably lose money.
