Speculators gathered round as Coinbase COO Geoff MacDonald sat by the hearth in the den, and opened an old novel to the 69th page. It was then that he announced to the children that Monero was to be added to Coinbase effective immediately, and soon everyone was in a rush to grab the cryptocurrency. Its price shot up from 150 dollars to 175 dollars in just two hours. Shortly after, Coinbase CEO Chad Chadwick downplayed this rumor, suggesting that MacDonald had actually been fired earlier that day and was simply manipulating the public in order to gain profit. Coinbase CEO Chad Chadwick then dumped his Monero bags and bought back in two days later at 135 dollars, and then listed Monero in the silence of the middle of night anyways.

This is all what occurred yesterday in regards to Coinbase listing Monero, does anyone else find this to be shady?

Coinbase CFO Bart Joseph later appeared on CNBC's Fast Money to dispel the rumors, and in the process added that 0x and XVG were the next to be listed on Coinbase, but that wouldn't be until late 2025.

I am so confused biz bros. Will they list any of these? Why lie so often? Coinbase needs to get a grip and fast.

Actual insider here. It's not Monero that is being listed.

The past two weeks, a handful of monero devs have moved over to the turtlecoin team under the guise of helping with the upcoming algorithm change. The actual secret is theyre recoding the wallet software because coinbase is listing Turtle Coin.

Its most likely the truth, besides ethereum, monero is the ONLY crypto to have a dev invited to speak at coinbase headquarters. This was early 2017. Im guessing they told fluffy his project needed a bit more development before being listed. Its since become a quality project with lots of contributors. plus its already been going up today for some reason
