Additionally EOS is likely going to bring crypto from proof of concept to legitimate utility. Projects like Steem and Everipedia are examples of use cases. They have a lot of good ideas and theories, but not much in the ways of a working product. I personally don't invest in academia. Those types seem more concerned with theory and being "corrrect" than building a usable product, evident by the fact that its written in haskell, which allows you to write mathematically correct code, but at the cost of being anywhere from 2-10x as slow as c++. Also, ada has user facing gas fees similar to ethereum. This is one of the biggest barriers to mainstream adoption. The fact that normies can use an eos dapp without even knowing what a blockchain or cryptocurrency is is one of its biggest selling points.

If you were a programmer you would understand that eos is a cloud solution with blockchain slapped for hype, which makes it technically pointless. It's by design unverifiable externally and again by design allows 21 nodes to change and delete accounts. It's literally like that iced tea company that changed its name to 'Long Blockchain Corp', only this time it's hosting.

Its unverifiability makes it useless for anything that needs it - which is pretty much every actual use case of cryptos. Existing systems (banks, stock brokers) are already unverifiable.

A megaupload-like dapp on eos would get deleted along with all files because of piracy. ICO that the SEC doesn't like? Contracts frozen. Your account is suspected of buying drugs? Frozen.
I give them 6 months max after the launch before they are forced to delete popular things causing an uproar.

I dont think you quite understand how it works. In order to alter the blockchain you need a 17/21 consensus. With a good token distribution there's almost no chance that those nodes will be under control of one entity or even a few entities in cahoots. You're going to have nodes spread out over the globe belonging to various unrelated organizations. And moreover if any of them act in ways contrary to goals of the community they will simply be voted out.

Now compare this to BTC or eth. Because 51% of their respective networks belong to giant mining pools in china, one censorship loving government has the ability to make a few phone calls and censor the blockchain. No one could do anything about it.
