When the vancouver/toronto bubbles pop in the next 5-10 years these rural LCOL areas will probably remain stagnant. I didn't buy these properties expecting skyrocketing value, but just a simple work-free life.

And even if they do pop - oh no I still have a paid off house and investment property printing me money whatever will I do :( I'm slightly poorer on my spreadsheet even though I can bringing in the same amount from my tenants monthly :(
