Idk imagine the average Reddit face.

That's how I picture holders, imagine not shorting this obvious bear trend just because of some emotional need to "believe" in bitcoin.

We've just been conditioned to ignore all dips after holding since $300. It makes it very hard to sell.

It's easy to say for newbies, but if you'd been earlier you'd probably have sold on one of the 5 dips in 2017 for $1000 - $3000.

Yea these newbies don't understand how huge dips were normal and how it always came back stronger. Even now I refuse to sell because of its past behavior. Which I realize is not guaranteed to repeat.

It's a paradox.

I feel stupid for not selling at $20k. But if I wasn't such a stubborn idiot I would never have held to $20k in the first place.

I bought at $300, sold at $11k, and have been shorting since $9k. Will fully buy back in around $3k but wouldn't be surprised by going under $2k.

You got it wrong. It's newbies who sell the dip. Pros buy the dip and sell the top. HODLcucks simply don't know how to trade and are typically wagecucks because they can't rely on crypto for a living.

It's fine to sell on dips. Not hodling doesn't mean you can't buy back. When everyone is euphoric and the graph is going parabolic, you know shits gonna happen sooner or later. BTC has been through this many times already.

Yeah I know, I just had a moment very early in my trading career where I swore off trying to trade BTC atall, and just stuck to trading ALT/BTC pairs to get more BTC which was very succesful.

It think I've gotta start moving away from that these days really.
