Check the chart on the past 2 years, it looks way over valued and could bleed with the rest of the market. IEP is essentially the same idea and looks much more consistent, maybe even undervalued.

But I am a complete noob so take that with a grain of salt. But to me, it its gone 90 degrees in the past 2 years, its probably overvalued with the rest of the shit that did the same and is now going down.

If your premium on a call was $1 and the stock paid a dividend of $1 the premium is not going to drop a full $1. I am of the opinion that you should sell calls for ex dividend. You should try to keep it above what you think the price will be on date of record. If the call is ITM you will get fucked. I would keep this as a small position; you will likely only get illiterates buying your call.

The price of a stock literally drops the dividend amount on ex-dividend.

In fact, instead of seeing interest rate of a particular currency, I should we should analyse the following :
- inflation rate of the country compared to the USA
- the trade balance : is it a net exporter ? does the country have many oversea investments ?
The thing is, when SHTF, oversea capitals tend to go back to the home country, making the currency stronger

The yen is overvalued at the moment, they dont want it to get stronger because of how it is already effecting the goods and trade in japan negatively, they have to keep it weak or risk economic collapse

because the usd weakens across the basket index of currencies, there is more incentive to weaken your own currency, because the usd drives it so much

i knew the swiss franc was strong. i was just curious as to how it would be affected if euro banks started going down in a bad way. i assume they all lend to each other in copious amounts as the banks in the states do. i would assume that for the low interest rates they wouldnt be lending to just anyone however.
