How much value should I place on a pension? Would you anons rather have a 150k/yr job in the private sector, or a 100k/yr job in a union with a 50% pension after 25 yrs? I like the idea of being comfy after retirement for doing nothing.

Pensioners seem to get shafted a lot lately. Better off taking the cash.

First of all you'll be paying a lot more than you'll be receiving in 50 years.
You can't invest the money while you wait for your pension.
You are basically cucked to work until you are 73 years old (or whatever the age will be in 2070), otherwise they will cut your pension by half.
And also you need to trust your govt to actually give you the money when you are an old wrinkly anon.

150k/y, no question
a pension is a gamble with delayed rewards
invest your own money
