oracles requires trust as they have the power to alter data for their personal profit.
decentralized oracles provides a trustless solution as they [the oracles] compete to provide (good) data to make profit. The contracts use the data from the consensus of oracles instead of trusting a third party. Oracles that provide bad data are penalized.
