Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers

i know goddamn well that that big selloff on monday wasnt just a fluke. lots of big guys pulled out on monday, and the volume has been suspiciously low for a selloff like that. that means that, where theres normally big guys buying up all the discounts, they were strangely absent the other day. and they havent come back yet, hence why vol has been plummeting. but make no mistake, everything is hanging by a thread right now, tech especially. all we need is a negative catalyst.

when going long vol you should take your bet just before the catalyst you are looking to trade imo. holding it over night is a good way to get yourself way underwater as the AH and PM vol always drops, and the etn resets internally after each. because of how frequent gap ups in the morning are, you almost always get fucked, unless the bad news comes right out the gate.

I haven't been following the senate debates very closely as it's always just a bunch or partisan circular blather. However, someone on plebbit caught this on the livestream and wrote it out to post. I like this enthusiasm. And his argument is correct, by the way. This us exactly what the report he cites concluded:

>Senator Dean with this mic drop yesterday: "And here’s the question. I also do have a right not to be interrupted. The question is this: Is the senator aware that in 2014, Canada’s premier research and treatment facility, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, which both myself and Senator Batters are fans of and which is a place that I would go to as a credible source for all information on research on drugs and addictions, issued a policy paper which concluded that legalization and strict regulation of cannabis provide an opportunity to reduce the harms to kids. Are you aware that it concluded that cannabis is not a gateway drug? Are you aware that it concluded that cannabis is less harmful than alcohol and tobacco? And did you know about the report? Do you know about its conclusions? And would you like me to send you a copy?"

The game Trump and the FED are playing is a dangerous but essential

They are trying to deleveraging the economy without entering into recession

It is a subtle game of raising interest rates, detering credits, favoring savings, hiking up government spendings, encouraging investment to keep up with productivity all the while keeping inflation within reasonable range (but USD is still going to weaken)

i think that if he is going to go through with the tariffs and the plan to revamp US industry, he is going to have to crash the dollar somewhat so that we can be competitive with the third world. i know this is why germany has been kvetching so much about us launching a trade war. they are terrified of the US actually becoming competitive again.

Of course
Why some developped countries have their industries rekt is because of the currencies of the shithole counries. China being the biggest cheater.

China has been devaluing their currency so that nobody can compete with them.

Euro is also undervalued and you are right about Germany. The main problem with Euro as a currency is now that Trump called out Germany on its bullshit, they have to strengthen it. But they can't without crashing Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and France (which still hang on there because of the weak Euro)

Agree. I realised that too the other day.
Governments around the world talk debt deficit reduction whilst absolutely plastering the economy with money - even if they're neolibs.

It's all a joke. They know the private debt is sinking the world so they're just gonna keep nationalising it. At least Trump doesn't even pretend to hide it.

Where does a trade war fit in with this subtle game btw? Don't agree with favoring savings. Repatriation is part of it too. None of it will matter though, there is no financial force large enough to replace CB's 10 year spending spree.

USD would weaken long term if they are successful. They will not be though and the USD will skyrocket just like it did in 2008 when the shtf.

i know. its so frustrating watching my own countries industry flounder because of such an obvious move by the chinese (same bullshit the saudis have done with oil for decades). and worse, how complicit our politicians are in selling us out. watching the whole GOP whine about the trade war says it all. their money is in china. fuck them, theyre traitors. even worse, their platforms are all about bringing money and jobs back to the US, while simultaneously selling us out.

>>8478752
>USD would weaken long term if they are successful. They will not be though and the USD will skyrocket just like it did in 2008 when the shtf.
this is why i think FED is gonna have to move faster than everyone expects. they absolutely have to. otherwise we are going to seriously crash down to where we were in 2008. we didnt even fix that problem, we just pressed the reset button and nationalized the problem, and fucked everything up, not only for the US, but the whole global economy. at the very least, i expect this year to more or less take back all of last years gains.

When Trump said he is the "King of Debts" I don't think he is joking

In a way, public deficit is what put money into circulation in the real economy

Remember the Bible, money is owned by Caesar (aka the Government)

Trade war is to reduce trade deficit, keep the money into the country and favoring investment inside the country.
Savings will come by increasing salaries and the rising interest rates
Technically, USD should be weaker as the USA has had an unprecendented trade deficit. USD was strong because the other countries were devaluing theirs even harder
