You can remove links from google.

You cannot remove anything from the blockchain. You guys need to do some fucking research holy shit. This is a major fucking issue because in order to mine, you need the blockchain. The blockchain is designed to not be editable, meaning past transactions are permanent. Removing them or editing them would destroy the integrity of the blockchain, destroying exactly what bitcoin is.

So if there’s child porn in the block chain, it cannot be removed, and all miners have it on their hard drive, which means all miners are guilty of possession of child porn. The government probably would not convict them, but they could force you to delete the block chain and cease mining.

1. If mining were banned in one country, miners would move somewhere it is not banned.

>> No.8463241

You can't normally. You need a 3rd party tool.

It takes input data (<0.1KB), then use an algorithm to turn them into hashes and insert those into normal entry fields of the transaction such as the pay to public-key hash field.

Then the same tool can be used to retrieve the entry fields of a transaction, reverse the algorithm, then piece together the data. For most transactions this will obviously result in junk. But for transactions that were specifically created using such a 3rd party tool, it will output the original data.

What's hilarious is I can even create my own tool, choose the genesis block. Then alter my algorithm until it produces a CP image based off of that transaction's normal data.

Then I can release the tool, and claim that Satoshi Nakamoto was a pedo and clearly used my tool to insert CP data.

>> No.8463475

>this will ban le bitcoin

No.

Here is why:

1) You're only guilty of possession if you store the blockchain.
2) Most people don't store the blockchain
3) Miners get banned
4) Game theory still in play, mining becomes absurdly lucrative despite being illegal, just becomes another war on drugs
5) Enforcement doesn't work
6) Bitcoin carries on regardless
7) Stigma regarding Bitcoin quickly reversed by saying "Yes, there's CP on the blockchain. There's CP on the internet. You still use the internet".

You don't need to know anything more than this post. That's it. Issue closed.

I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring floss in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people sprouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go. Marked my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like its a peach of cake.

Does possession of a blockchain count as "possession of every possible image that could be derived from it"?

Probably not. To get the "file" or "image data" you need the Blockchain PLUS some 3rd party tool, which is not part of the core implementation of the BTC protocol.

If you've never used the tool, then there is no way you could produce the image.

There is no CP on the blockchain, only links

Illegal and Condemned Content. Bitcoin’s blockchain contains at least eight
files with sexual content. While five files only show, describe, or link to mildly
pornographic content, we consider the remaining three instances objectionable
for almost all jurisdictions: Two of them are backups of link lists to child pornography,
containing 274 links to websites, 142 of which refer to Tor hidden services.
The remaining instance is an image depicting mild nudity of a young woman.
In an online forum this image is claimed to show child pornography, albeit this
claim cannot be verified (due to ethical concerns we refrain from providing a citation).
Notably, two of the explicit images were only detected by our suspicioustransaction
detector, i.e., they were not inserted via known services.
